“So what was on the tape?”

AudioLex is pleased to announce a series of workshops to be held throughout 2009. These workshops will deal with a number of aspects of the rapidly developing areas of in the wide ranging and very frequently interconnected areas of Forensic Audio and Video, and Forensic Voice, Speech and Text Analysis.

• Forensic Transcription
• Forensic Phonetics
• Forensic Linguistics
• Forensic Audio
• Forensic Video
• Forensic Interpreting and Translating
• Trademarks and other Intellectual Property

Our workshops are designed to meet the specific requirements of different groups:
Police Forces, Solicitors (both criminal and civil), Counsel, the Media, Managers of labs where forensic audio work is undertaken, but without specialised staff, Investigators and security managers, Interpreters and Translators, Students (year 7 up), Writers and Other highly specialised areas – please contact us

Please note: you will only be able to enroll in your appropriate group workshops.

Our workshops are run at our laboratory in NW Herefordshire, in central London, and we can also provide in-house training at your premises (whether in the UK or abroad).

Groups are kept small and one-to-one workshops can be provided on request. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed to facilitate the learning process and to give you the opportunity to discuss ideas with others in your profession and to interact with – even cross-examine – practising forensic scientists. We provide information about currently available and acceptable forensic techniques and equipment and, using both real and hypothetical case studies, demonstrate how they are used in investigation, prosecution or defence. Time will be put aside for both Q&A sessions, and for networking. Depending upon the course and the participants, information will range from basic information and awareness-training, up to an in-depth presentation and analysis of the most sophisticated theory and processes.

We can provide workshops in all applications. Please contact
